At 3:45 pm MedStat, City Fire and rescue along with Kosciusko Police responded to Hwy 12 East at the Hwy 12 and 35 intersection at Wendy's for an MVA involving an overturned vehicle. The callers were unable to advise if there were any injuries involved. Audio Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a 2004 black Dodge Durango resting on it's side in the middle of the roadway. Audio The second vehicle, a 2001 Chevy truck was found stopped in the turn lane. MedStat transported an 85 year old female patient complaining of small laceration to her leg. No word on what caused the accident.

At 6:00 pm Attala Fire and Sallis Volunteers responded to a report of a house fire at the Lewis residence on Attala Road 4101. Audio Audio Unit 105, Firefighter Tim Cox, was in the area and on scene at 6:05 pm notifying responding units that the house trailer was fully involved There was also a propane tank reported close to the structure. Audio Audio Central Electric was advised to come to the Dennis Lewis residence at 16240 Attala Road 4101. The owners of the home were reported to be out of town. Audio Firefighters were only able to take one engine down the narrow driveway and dropped a line from others staged on the road to pump the water to the unit. Audio Attala County Deputies were called to the scene because of the possibility of an altercation. Audio Fire crews were able to contain and extinguish the blaze by 6:58 pm and cleared the scene at 7:37 pm. No injuries were reported but the home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find one vehicle that had hydroplaned leaving the roadway striking a tree. This is the second time at the exact same location a driver lost control of a vehicle after a rain. The other caused a rollover on July 25th of this year. Medics transported three patients with what was said to be only minor injuries to Montfort Jones. The owner and driver of the vehicle, a Jones from Kosciusko, was traveling North on Hwy 19 with two children as passengers.

At 3:48 p.m. Attala County Fire, Attala Sheriff's Department, the Mississippi Highway Patrol & Sallis Volunteers responded to Hwy 14 West at Zemuly for a vehicle fire. First reports were of a gas truck that was fully engulfed. Audio While en-route to the location, it was reported as two vehicles, one a car hauling a trailer, and a pickup truck carrying paint thinner. Audio Smoke from the fire could be seen miles away from the scene. After arriving on scene firefights found one pickup with pain thinner in the bed and pulling a trailer all fully involved. The highway was shut completely down as fire crews battled the blaze. According to Captain Goza with Central Fire Station told Kosy Online that the driver of the vehicle was from Louisville. He stated that something exploded in the bed of the truck when the fire started. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

At 5:54 am the Kosciusko Fire Department responded to a house fire on Hwy 12 East. The caller said it was located next door to 717. Kosciusko Communications notified firefighters that the structure was involved in flames. Firefighters arrived on location and found heavy smoke pouring from the residence. Flames could be seen from the rear of the structure coming from one room of the home. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time. The State Fire Marshall was called to the location and arrived on scene at 8:00 am. An investigation to the cause of the fire is currently underway.
