At 3:45 pm MedStat, City Fire and rescue along with Kosciusko Police responded to Hwy 12 East at the Hwy 12 and 35 intersection at Wendy's for an MVA involving an overturned vehicle. The callers were unable to advise if there were any injuries involved. Audio Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a 2004 black Dodge Durango resting on it's side in the middle of the roadway. Audio The second vehicle, a 2001 Chevy truck was found stopped in the turn lane. MedStat transported an 85 year old female patient complaining of small laceration to her leg. No word on what caused the accident.

At 7:45 pm MedStat, Attala Fire and McCool Volunteers were called back out for the second MVA rollover of the night. The caller said it was located on Attala Road 2120 approximately 1/4 to a 1/2 mile from Hwy 12 East. She advised that the driver got in to a blue pickup and was leaving the scene. Crews met the small truck as it was on its way taking the driver to Montfort Jones Hospital. The extent of their injurers is unknown. Attala SO ran the tag and it came back to a Joe Carr.

At 2:05 p.m. The Kosciusko Police and City Fire along with MedStat responded to Veterans Memorial Drive near Penn's for an MVA with injuries. Audio Off duty firefighter Billy Hill was on scene and assisted patients until medical personnel arrived. One female patient in a 1994 Chrysler LHS suffered severe head trauma after being struck in the side. Audio EMS personnel advised communications to get MedStat Air en route to transport one by helicopter to UMC with an open head wound. MedStat's office being only blocks away from the accident, were able to have two units on scene quickly. When Kosciusko Fire and Rescue arrived they reported that both lanes of traffic were blocked and there was no entrapment. Audio Audio MedStat 10 transported a 21 year old male subject with left knee pains to Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital, while other units awaited the arrival MedStat Air at the Kosciusko High School track field. Audio All emergency personnel cleared the scene 2:44 p.m.

At 5:54 am the Kosciusko Fire Department responded to a house fire on Hwy 12 East. The caller said it was located next door to 717. Kosciusko Communications notified firefighters that the structure was involved in flames. Firefighters arrived on location and found heavy smoke pouring from the residence. Flames could be seen from the rear of the structure coming from one room of the home. Fire crews were able to quickly contain the blaze. The extent of the damage is unknown at this time. The State Fire Marshall was called to the location and arrived on scene at 8:00 am. An investigation to the cause of the fire is currently underway.

Kosciusko Dispatch notified emergency personnel of an MVA on Hwy 12 West at 2:32 pm. The caller advised that there was one subject trapped in the vehicle. Units from the Mississippi Highway Patrol, MedStat EMS, Attala Fire, Attala Deputies and Sallis Volunteers responded to the call. Attala 2, Chief Deputy Tim Nail, arrived and confirmed that there was one subject trapped in a Chevrolet AstroVan. The van was located between Kosciusko and McAdams and was found on its side. Central and Sallis Fire were able to quickly free the trapped female, identified as Katherine Ferguson, from the wreckage. MedStat transported the patient to Montfort Jones Hospital priority two. The extent of her injuries are unknown. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
