At 10:20 a.m. Attala County Fire responded to Attala Road 3222 in the Shady Grove Community to the Eldon Dees residence for a house fire. Audio Unit 301 advised that the home was fully engulfed in flames. Chief Roy Williams stated that he was en-route to location at 10:21 a.m. and requested that McCool Volunteers be on standby. Audio Engine 81 arrived on scene at 10:33 a.m. with FD1 & Engine 12 arriving shortly after at 10:40 a.m. Audio Med-Stat was dispatched to the structure fire for medical standby at 10:44 a.m. Audio No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. Responding units included Central, Friendship, Ethel, McCool, Attala SO and MedStat EMS. According to bystanders at the scene the owners were not at home. Mrs Dees was visiting her husband in the hospital.
